01 - Achiever
Explains your drive.
Constant need for achievement.
Must achieve something tangible everyday to feel good about yourself.
Achievements are always temporary.
Relentless need for achievement may not be logical, may not even be focused, but it will always be with you.
Learn to live with discontent.
Gives you energy to work long hours without burning out.
Jolt to help get started with new tasks and challenges.
02 - Activator
Impatient for action.
Analysis has its use but deep down only action is real.
Only actions can make things happen, only action leads to performance.
Decision made = act
Even if there are still unknowns, it doesn’t slow you down.
Action and thinking are not opposites - action is the best device for learning.
Decision -> Action -> Results -> Learn -> Repeat
Bottom line = you will be judged by what you get done (not what you say or by what you think)
This pleases you.
03 - Adaptability
Live in the moment; the future is not a fixed destination.
The future is a place that you can create out of choices that you can make right now.
Discover the future, one choice at a time.
You probably have plans but you’re happy to be pulled away from them if necessary.
You don’t resent sudden requests or unforeseen detours, you expect them. At some level, you look forward to them.
You are a very flexible person who can stay productive when the demands of work are pulling you in different directions at once.
04 - Analytical
Challenge other people: “Prove it. Show me why what you are claiming is true.”
You don’t want to destroy other peoples ideas but you insist that their theories be sound.
You view yourself as objective and dispassionate.
You like data because they are value free; they have no agenda.
You want to investigate the data to explore connections and patterns in order to reveal the root cause or causes.
Others see you as logical or rigorous and may approach you to expose other peoples wishful thinking.
It is hoped that your analysis is never delivered too harshly otherwise people may not come to you if the wishful thinking is theirs.
05 - Arranger
You are a conductor.
When faced with complexity, you enjoying managing the variables, aligning and realigning them in the most productive configuration possible.
You don’t believe there is anything special about what you do, you just want to get the job done.
You are a shining example of effective flexibility.
From the mundane to the complex you are always looking for the perfect configuration.
You are at your best in dynamic situations.
You don’t complain about deviations nor just stick the the rules - you dive in and look for the right configuration.
06 - Belief
You have certain core values that are enduring.
Ordinarily, they cause you to be family-orientated, altruistic, even spiritual and to value responsibility and high ethics - both in yourself and others.
Core values affect your behaviour in many different ways.
They give your life meaning and satisfaction.
They give your life direction by giving you a consistent set of priorities.
Consistency is the foundation for your relationships.
Your Belief makes you easy to trust.
Your work must matter; it must allow you to live out your values.
07 - Command
Command leads you to take charge.
You feel no discomfort with imposing your view on others.
Once your opinion is formed, you feel you need to share it with others.
Once your goal is set, you feel restless until you have others aligned with you.
Confrontation doesn’t scare you. Rather, it’s the first step toward resolution.
You feel compelled to present the truth, no matter how unpleasant it may be.
You challenge people to be clear-eyed and honest. You push them to take risks.
People are drawn to those who take a stance and ask them to move in a certain direction.
08 - Communication
You like to explain, to describe, to host, to speak in public, and to write.
You feel a need to bring ideas and events to life, to energise them, to make them exciting and vivid.
Turn events into stories and practice telling them.
Take dry ideas and enliven them with pictures, examples and metaphors.
You believe that most people have short attention spans, are bombarded by information and remember very little of it.
You want your information to survive.
You want to divert their attention, capture it and lock it in.
This is what drives you to find the perfect phrase, toward dramatic words and powerful word combinations.
This is why people listen to you.
Your words pictures pique their interest, sharpen their world, and inspire them to act.
09 - Competition
Competition is rooted in comparison.
You are instinctively aware of other peoples’ performance.
Their performance is the ultimate yardstick.
Every other measure of performance is secondary to other peoples’ performance.
You need other people, you need to compare, you need to compete, so that you can win.
You like measurement because it facilitates comparison.
You like competitors because they invigorate you.
You like competitions because they must produce a winner.
You particularly like competitions where you have the inside track to be the winner.
You don’t compete for the fun of competition; you compete to win.
Over time you will stop participating in competitions where you know that winning is unlikely.
10 - Connectedness
Things happen for a reason, you are sure of it.
We are individuals, responsible for our own judgements and in possession of our own free will but nonetheless we are part of something larger.
The feeling of Connectedness implies certain responsibilities.
Your awareness of your responsibilities creates your value system.
Certain of the unity of humankind, you are a bridge builder for people of different cultures.
You can give others comfort that there is a purpose beyond our humdrum lives.
Your faith is strong and it sustains you and your close friends in the face of life’s mysteries.
11 - Consistency
Balance is important to you.
Keenly aware of the need to treat people the same irrespective of their station in life.
In your view this leads to selfishness and individualism.
This leads to a world where some people gain an unfair advantage because of their connections. This is offensive to you.
You see yourself as a guardian against it.
You believe people function best in a consistent environment where the rules are clear and are applied to everyone equally.
People know what is expected of them.
The environment is predictable, evenhanded and fair.
Each person has an even change to show his or her worth.
12 - Context
You look back because that is where the answers lie.
You look back in order to understand the present.
The present is unstable.
Looking back helps you find the blueprints.
You make better decisions because you sense the underlying structure.
You relate better because you understand how people came to be who they are.
You become wiser about the future because you saw its seeds being sown in the past.
New people, new situations require time to orient yourself.
You must be disciplined to ask the questions and allow the blueprints to emerge.
If you haven’t seen the blueprints, you will have less confidence in your decisions.
13 - Deliberative
You are careful and vigilant. You are a private person.
The world is an unstable place. Though everything looks fine on the surface, you sense the many underlying risks.
You draw these risks out to the surface to identify, assess and ultimately reduce these risks.
You are a generally serious person that approaches life with a certain reserve.
You like to plan ahead in order to anticipate what might go wrong.
You are careful to not give out too much praise and recognition, lest it be misconstrued.
If people don’t like you because you’re not as effusive as others, you don’t care - life is not a popularity contest.
Life is something of a minefield.
You identify the dangers, weigh their relative impact, and then place your feet deliberately.
You walk with care.
Developer
You see the potential in others. Very often, potential is all you see given that your view is that no individual is fully formed.
Each individual is a work in progress, alive with possibilities.
You are drawn to people fore this very reason.
Your goal in interacting with others is to help them experience success.
You look for ways to challenge them while looking out for signs of growth.
Small increment are clear signs of potential being realized.
These signs of growth in others are your fuel.
They bring you strength and satisfaction.
Many people will seek you out for help and encouragement because on some level they know that your helpfulness is both genuine and fulfilling to you.
Discipline
Your world needs to be predictable, ordered and planned.
You impose structure on your world - routines, timelines and deadlines.
You breakdown longterm plans into a series of specific short term plans and work through each plan diligently.
You are not necessarily neat or clean but you need precision.
Faced with the messiness of life, you want to feel in control.
Not everyone feels your urge for predictability; they have other ways of getting things done.
Help people understand and even appreciate your need for structure.
Your responses are your methods to maintain progress and productivity in the face of life’s many distractions.
