Antagonist
A charactor or a group which stand in opposition to the protaganist
Connotation
A meaning that is implied by a word apart from the thing which it describes
Denotation
literal or dictionary meaning of a word
Flashback
interruptions that writers do to insert past events in order to provide context
Foreshadowing
A writer gives an advanced hint of what is to come
inference
a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning
Mood
a literary element that evokes certain feeling or vibes
Plot
The events that make up a story or the main plot of the story
Point of view 1st
involves the use of either of the two pronounes “I” and “We”
Point of view 2nd
employs the pronoun “you”
Point of view 3rd
uses pronouns “he”, “she”, “it”, “they”, or a name
Protagonist
The central charactor or leading figure in poetry or any story
Style
The authors own unique way of writing
Symbol
An object representing another to give it an entirly defferent meaning
Theme
Main idea or an underlying meaning of a literary work that may be stated directly or inderectly
