what is a lever ?
is a rigid bar that moves around an axis to create movement
what is the fulcrum ?
the fixed point at which a lever turns or is supported
what is the load ?
the weight or resistance that the lever must move
what is the effort ?
the force required to move the load.
what is the load arm ?
the distance from the load to the fulcrum
what is the effort arm ?
the distance from the effort to fulcrum
what is mechanical advantage ?
measures the efficiency of the lever
mechanical advantage = effort arm/ load arm
