arrabbu rā3iyya fala yo3wizuni shay’
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing
fi marā3in ḫudren yorbiḍoni
He make me lie down in green pastures
ila miyāhi-rrāḥati youriḍoni
He leads me beside quiet waters
yaruddu nafsi
He refreshes my soul
yahdeeni ila subuli-lbirri min ajli ismihi
He guides me along the right path for his name’s sake
ayḍan itha sirtu fi wādi thilli-lmaout
Even though I walk through the darkest valley
lā aḫāfu sharran li’annaka anta ma3i
I will fear no evil, for you are with me
3aṣaka wa 3ukkazuka humā yu3azziyanani
Your rod and your staff they comfort me
turattibu quddami ma’idatan tujāha moḍāyiqiyya
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies
masaḥta bidduhni ra’si ka’si rayya
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows
innama ḫairon wa raḥmaton yatba3ānani kulla ayyāmi ḥayāti
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life
wa’askono fi baiti arrabbi ila madal ayyām
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever
