generally suffix oma; generally do not kill
benign
generally suffix sarcoma/carcinoma; all left untreated will kill
malignant
tissue of origin; shown by prefix/stem
histological
grow by expansion; do not metasize; do not recur after surgery; do not caue great tissue damage; resemble original tissue
benign characteristics
grow by infiltration; metastasize
malignant characteristics
