- DDR4 - 1 retention clip and 1 fixed guide rail on the other end

How do you remove a DIMM?

Push the retention clip(s) outward, which acts as a lever that slightly ejects the RAM so you can remove it
What are the 5 steps to installing SODIMM?

- Acquire the right RAM for the specific laptop
- Check configuration of existing RAM and max RAM allowed
- Remove electrical power and batteries
- Unscrew, open underside of the laptop, press out on the restraining clips to pop out RAM
- Remove RAM and insert new one. Reverse steps.
How do you install SODIMM on a Mac all-in-one? (easy)
There’s a panel in the back with RAM slots you can remove, then just insert the SODIMM sticks
What are 2 ways you can verify that the RAM was installed correctly?
