Lesson 106 Flashcards
MATS ACC > Glossary
SEPARATION MINIMUM
A statement of the least allowable amount of lateral, longitudinal, or vertical separation to be applied.
MATS ACC > Separation > ATS Surveillance Separation
Conditions to apply 3 miles separation
■ ■ ■ ■ ■
■ Terminal control service is provided.
■ Csit or NARDS displays a maximum range of 120 miles from left to right.
■ The ATS surveillance source is not ADS-B.
■ Altitude readouts are displayed for both aircraft, or both aircraft are at or below 15000ft ASL.
■ Aircraft are not farther than 80 miles from a radar site.
MATS ACC > Glossary
CONFLICT
The actual or predicted convergence of aircraft that violates one or more separation minima.
MATS ACC > Glossary
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
The resolution of potential conflicts between IFR/VFR and VFR/VFR aircraft that are radar-identified and in communication with ATC.
MATS ACC > Glossary
SAME TRACK
In the application of separation, expression used by ATC to indicate identical tracks or tracks that converge or diverge at an angle of 1° (degrees?) to 44° inclusive.
MATS ACC > Glossary
CROSSING TRACKS
In the application of separation, a term used to indicate tracks that converge or converge or diverge at an angle of 45° to 135° inclusive.
