TERMINAL CONTROL SERVICE
A
Control service provided to aircraft operating in the vicinity of a selected airport by one of the following:
(a) A dedicated Terminal Control function (specialty/sub-unit) within an ACC;
(b) An enroute sector of an ACC adjacent to a terminal control/specialty/sub-unit to permit the transition from 3 miles separation to 5 miles separation.

The resolution of potential conflicts between IFR/VFR and VFR/VFR aircraft that are identified, and in communication with ATC.
