- Praecox: after birth but <35yrs
- Tarda: >35yrs

- Familial Autosomal dominant subtype of congenital lymphoedema

FIIT
- Fibrosis: e.g. post-radiotherapy
- Infiltration (Ca: prostate, lymphoma, Filariasis: Wuchereria bancrofti)
- Infection: TB
- Trauma: block dissection of lymphatics
