Lung CONGESTION
fluid in lungs = pulmonary edema (drowning)

weak heart = weak pump

A
Bilateral crackles, gurgles, wheezes
hypoxemia
hypercapnia
Fatigue from increase WOB
Decrease peripheral BOP –> cardiogenic shock
Dyspnea/cyanotic
Blood tinged sputum
Restlessness/confusion
Decrease UO increase CO2

A
pt with Left ventricle MI caused by increase BP

what are nursing intervention for left sided heart failure?
A
auscultate breath sounds every hour
monitor ABG xray weight daily
HOB 45*
administer O2 if lower than 95

what medication should you give for left sided HF?
A
FUROSEMIDE after checking K+
