Ascites
Accumulation of fluid in peritoneal cavity as in disseminated malignancy to peritoneum. Liver cirrhosis. Tuberculous peritonitis. Etc.
Coarctation
Compression of the wall of a vessel as in the congenital coarctation of the aorta
Hernia
The protrusion of an organ or part through connective tissue or the wall of a cavity in which it is normally enclosed as in inguinal hernia. Umbilical hernia. Incisional hernia at the site of surgical scars
Ischemia
The reduction in blood supply to an organ or tissue as in myocardial ischemia due to coronary artery atherosclerosis
Jaundice
The yellow discoloration of skin and sclera of the eye
Hyperbilirubinemia
Bilirubin is a pigment product of hemoglobin metabolism synthesized by the liver
Laceration
An irregular wound or tear. Severe blunt trauma can induce laceration in skin liver etc
Pruritis
An itching sensation of the skin. Ex pruritis ani (at the anal verge) pruritis vulvae
-iasis
A suffix that means disease producing condition
Cholelithiasis
Stones in the biliary passages
Urolithiasis
Stones in the urinary passages.
Meningitis
