Osteoblasts produce alkaline phosphatase when they produce osteoid
liver enzyme or bone disease
increased osteoblastic activity
Pagets disease can cause a marked level of this
What is acid phosphatase?
prostate cancer increase with prostate capsule disruption
what is PSA (prostate specific antigen)?
tumor marker for prostate cancer
What is total protein?
overproduction of Ig; 3m’s Mets, multiple myeloma
HLA-B27
marker for anklyosing and psoriac arhtritus, Rh factor
what can pagets disease cause?
increase level of alkaline phosphatase
