pt is laying supine, doc DF big toe
(+) pn in gluts= sciatica

pain when doc IR and adducts the leg during SLR
= piriformis sx
Belt test aka supported adams test
support the ASIS and sacrum during forward flexion
Neri’s bowing
when bending forward the knee on the effected side bends
= tight hamstrings
(probably have a + beery’s test)
Deyerle’s sign
pt seated, leg passively flexed until pn is reproduced, doc pushes into popliteal fossa
(+) irritation of the sciatic N: stretched over mechanical obstruction
Lewin’s punch test
pt is standing, punch the effected butt
(+): referred pn in back= spinal lesion/ protruded disc
Gaenslen’s test
pt with one SIJ off the side of the table, press down
(+) femoral N: anterior thigh pn
(+) SIJ: pn in the butt
(+) lumbosacral: L/S
anterior innominate test
have patient stand in a lung position with uneffected leg forward. Bend forward until back heel comes off the floor.
(+) pn in the trunk on the effected side
= anteriorly displaced ilia
Piedallus test
pt: seated
doc: plae thumbs on PSIS, if one thumb is lower, have patient lean forward. if thumb rises
= SIJ problem
