White supremacist rampage in Rose Wood, Florida.
Left at least 8 people dead and the entire black community of the town was driven from the area by white mobs. They burnt their homes, churches and buildings.
The black residents never returned.
Why did membership decline after 1925?
The sex scandals, power struggles and law suits contributed to the disillusionment.
