Monera features
No nucleus or membrane bound organelles
Microscopic and single celled
Reproduce asexually
Fungi features
Absorb their food from outside
Composed of multicelled hyphae which form mycelia
Walls made of chitin
Reproduce by spores
Examples of fungi
Mushrooms, moulds, mildews, yeasts.
Protists features
Have a true nucleus
Single celled or multicelled organisms.
Protists examples
Plankton, seaweed, amoeba, slime moulds.
Plants
Complex and multicellular Make own food-photynthesis Have cellulose cell walls Have large vacuoles in cells Don't move Reproduce sexually and asexually
Plant examples
Mosses, ferns, seed-producing plants.
Animals features
No cell walls
Multicellular, take in their food (heterotrophic)
Have nervous + muscular systems
Reproduce sexually
Have small motile sperm and large non-motile eggs.
