A system that was used to control medieval England

What was the role of the peasants ?
A
Peasants worked the land for knights. In return the Knights provided protection. Peasants were expected to provide Labour service.

What was the role of Knights ?
A
Knights held land from the tenant-in-chief in return for services as soldiers. Knights were required to do knight service eg. serving in the king army for two months at their own expense.

What is a vassal ?
A
A vassal was anyone in the Feudal pyramid who owed loyalty.
