KINETICS Flashcards
Describe Kinetics
Is a branch of dynamics which deals with the study of bodies in
motion particularly force involved in the acceleration.
Describe Newtons First Law
A body at rest will remain at rest or in motion at that constant velocity,
unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
Describe Newtons Second Law
The acceleration (a) of a body is directly proportional to the net force (Fnet)
acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass (m).
Describe Newtons Third Law
For every action (Force) there is always an equal and opposite reaction.
What are the 3 Newton’s Law?
Law of Inertia
Law of Acceleration
Law of Action and Reaction
Describe the D Alembert’s Principles
The resultant of the external force and kinetic reaction (reverse effective force) acting on a body equals to zero.
Centripetal Force also known as?
(Normal Force) - Is the force directed toward the center of the circle.
Centrifugal Force also known as?
Normal Effective Force - It is directed away from the center of rotation.
Tangential Force also known as?
Reversed tangential effective force.
