act so that you treat humanity always as an end, never as a mere means

act only according to a maxim which you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law without contradiction
what is the principle of autonomy
no rule of action is morally acceptable that cannot be regarded as a law applicable to everyone, and legislated by everyone
