How did Kahlo’s husband influence her?
Kahlo’s husband Diego Rivera greatly influenced her. One of her paintings “the two frida’s” was painted shortly after her divorce with her husband, who cheated on her multiple times.
How did Kahlo’s bus accident influence her?
In 1925, Kahlo had a steel handrail impaled into her hip and had to stay in the hospital for several weeks. Then returned home and had to wear a full body cast for three months. This led her to start painting so she could pass time and ease the pain from her body.
How did her father influence her?
Kahlo’s father was a professional photographer and amateur painter. He was the one who sparked kahlo’s intrest in art. She frequently assisted him in his studio, this is where she caught a sharp eye for detail
How did kahlo’s childhood influence her?
Kahlo suffered a bout of polio that left her with a slight limp, a chronic ailment she would endure through out her life. A lot of kahlo’s work was influenced by her Ill health, pain and suffering.

Kahlo was heavily influenced by Mexican culture. This was showed through her use of bright colours and dramatic symbolism
