What is Akhirah?
The Islam teachings of life after death
What is Yawm al-din?
The Day of Judgement
What happens on the Day of Judgment?
The dead will be raised from their graves and be brought before Allah. Then they are judged on how they lived their earthly lives.
What is resurrection?
The belief that people will be raised from the dead
What happens if they’re found as a good person?
They will enter Jannah (paradise), described as the ‘garden of everlasting bliss’ and a ‘home of peace’.
In Jannah, there is no sickness, pain or sadness.
What happens if they’re a bad person?
They are sent to Jahannam (hell).
This is a place of physical and spiritual suffering.
What is repentance?
When Allah forgives someone of their sins if they show that they’re sorry, for example showing kindness to others.
