Angel Jibril

A

He is an archangel (a special angel with higher s) who is a trusted messenger of God.
He was the angel who relayed the Qur’an to Muhammad.
Muslims believe that Jibril first appeared to Muhammad when he was a child. He and Mika’il came to Muhammad during the night and purified his heart so that he would be able to receive God’s revelation. When Muhammad was 40, he returned in a blaze of light when Muhammad was meditating at Mount Hira and told him the revelations God wanted him to have.
