Non legal volunteer who hears cases and administers the law in the minor offence courts in their community
What are the types of judges?

What are the court types?

What is a claimant?
The party who seeks court action
What is a defendant?
The person/entity that has been accused of a crime
What do high court judges do?
Handle complex and serious criminal cases/important civil cases
What do court of appeal judges do?
Handle appeals from lower courts
What do supreme court judges do?
Handle appeals from the court of appeal as the ‘final decider’
