The scientific study of the nervous system, duh
What is Psychology, essentially?
Scientific study of behaviour and the mind, duh
Psychopharmacology?
Im pretty sure its a sub-discipline of psychology; focuses on relationship between drugs & behaviour of course!
Neuropsychopharmacology?
Definitely a long ass word. But a sub-discipline of neuroscience; focuses on relationship between drugs, BRAIN, & and behaviour!!
Purpose of the course?
basically how drugs affect the biology of our NS, and in turn, affecting our minds and behaviour. Simple enough.
What are some specific drugs?
Psychostimulants, nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, opioids, cannabinoids, psychedelics
What research up to tho?
its a fundamental part of course! Different research methods are needed to address different psychopharmacological questions, duh.
