What is an ID injection ?
injection into dermis
What are ID injections normally used for ?
skin testing (TB test/Mantoux test, Bacillus-Calmette Guérin/ TB vaccine; allergy testing)
Site of ID injection
flexor surface of forearm (inner arm)
upper limit: 3-4 finger width below antecubital fossa/ aka elbow bend
lower limit: one hand above wrist
Angle of ID injection
10-15 degrees with bevel facing upwards

F - 1/8” of the needle into the skin

What should you see when doing ID injection
bleb formation

How should you hold the syringe?
like how you would hold the pen; you get more stability if you holder closer to the hub
