Q

How do you complete a sign test?

A

1 - Record the data
2- Convert to nominal data by stating the sign (- or +)
3 - Add up how many + you have and how many - you have. Take the lower number
The smaller number is your calculated value (aka observed value) and is quoted as being s=

or
probability that our results are due to to chance is less than or equal to 5%

Q

What is the statement of significance?

A

The calculated value (state no.) is greater/less/equal to the critical value (state no.), at 5% probabilities, for a one/two tailed hypothesis. Therefore the result are (not) significant and i can accept/reject my null hypothesis.
