Fortunately for Great Britain, they had lots of coal.

18
Q

How did the invention of the steam industry affect the textile industry?

A

With the invention of the steam engine, investors began to apply the mechanical process to new mechanisms.

19
Q

When did the textile industry take off?

A

When it became mechanized.

20
Q

What was the flying shuttle’s purpose?

A

21
Q

What was the mechanical spinning machine’s purpose?

A

To accelerate the production of yarn.

22
Q

Why did landowners farm off their territory?
