How many classes of HLA exist?
There are three classes:
HLA I is found on all nucleated cells.
HLA II is found on antigen presenting cells.
What is the difference in function between HLA class I and HLA class II?
HLA class one is the “self “molecule found on all nucleated cells. HLA class two is found on antigen presenting cells.
HLA I presents to CD8
HLA II presents to CD4
What is the difference in function between Th1 and Th2 cells?
Th1 induces CD8 cells. Th2 induces B cells
How are NK T cells and NK cells different?
NK T cells recognize lipid and glycolipds presented by CD1.
NK cells are always in KILL mode unless they are turned off by HLA-E on self cells.
