he hit diomedes with a bow and arrow meaning he does not want to put himself in danger as he knows he will lose in a fair fight which is why he fights from afar in safety
how is pandarus perspective
he notices that athena is helping diomedes fight which shows his skill of being aware of his surroundings however this could also be argued as cowardly as he may be looking for an excuse for acting like a coward
