IDEA 3 Flashcards
1) INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY PHILIP and his assistant, HARRISON, are looking over contracts.
PHILIP:
… Well, it looks good to me!
HARRISON:
Sir -
PHILIP:
- You’ve forged my signature before, yes?
2) HARRISON: Sir, if I may -
PHILIP:
- Just sign on my behalf and we’re good to go!
(And then)
Is it lunch time yet?
HARRISON:
Sir, I can’t sign this.
PHILIP:
Course you can! Look, here’s a pen - that’s half the battle, you’re welcome
3) HARRISON: Do you even understand what this is?
PHILIP:
Of course I do!
(A beat )
It’s a, you know, it’s a very official document about the shares.
The stocks. It’s from the board. Of which I am a member of.
It’s board business. Boring, really. Here! You can use the custom Parker my mother left me!
4) HARRISON: But it’s signing away your shares, Sir!
PHILIP:
My shares? Well that’s impossible - I am the shares! That means I’d give up my spot!
5) HARRISON: That’s what I’m trying to tell you.
PHILIP:
Well don’t sign it, for god’s sake!
(And then)
Is this a coup? Are they trying to get me out? Do they think I’m stupid? Why am I even asking you, you’re an assistant, not an advisor. Where did you even go to university?
6) HARRISON: Brown
PHILIP:
That’s a colour, not a school.
HARRISON:
… Right. PHILIP You know what, get out. I’ll have my lawyer read this over seeing as you can’t make heads or tails of it!
HARRISON exits.
PHILIP (CONT’ D) (To himself; dialling his lawyer)
Brown. Ridiculous man, trying to fool me.
