Development means people achieving an
acceptable standard of living
Standard of living
The standard of living means the general well-being of people, which includes health, education, employment and the environment.
What is the Human Development Index
The HDI is a score between 0 and 1. The closer the figure is to 1, the more developed the country.

Health — Life expectancy at birth

The development gap is the gap between the most developed and the least developed countries in the world.
