Is one step Anti icing possible?

A

Table 59: guidelines for application of type 4.

One step anti ice only possible on clean aircraft.

So why would you be anti icing in first place.

IE: usually if it’s snowing, it’s a two step process. De ice first, anti ice after.

Q

Can you use Type one only if it’s snowing?

A

Yes, theoretically, type 1 has HOT with freezing precipitation, but it is a lot shorter. So for places where you de-ice in the bay, be very careful.
