Profited off frankincense and mur, important for greek religion. Carved theater out of rock, has a lot of money/resources to build. Major trade center, lots of profits

A
- Center for silk, bringing in marble. Has lots of resources. Self contained trading facilities.
Statues and carvings, camels depicted, elaborate details

why was silk so important?
A
Used as currency, clothing, fishing line, writing. Only in China (controlled by shang and zhou).
