What was the effect of Arthur’s death in 1502?

A

Within five weeks arrangements were made to marry Catherine to Prince Henry (Viii). A formal treaty was concluded in September of 1502 but it had to be approved by the Pope.

How did Henry vii become isolated by the league of cambrai?

A

The league of Cambrai was initially an alliance between Burgundy, France and England against the Turks with Anti-Spanish motivations.
* However, Louis XII of France didn’t want to jeapordise his understanding with Ferdinand so he bribed the Spanish king and changed the alliance to be an alliance against Venice (Pope, Louis Xii, Burgundians).
