A
Deposition of IgA deposition in blood vessels

Etiology/Pathogenesis
A
Changes in IgA1 O-glycoforms (heavier)
Association between mucosal infection
Common 3-15Y
10% will develop kidney failure

Clinical Features
A
Palpable purpuric rash (usually extensor Surfaces; sparing of the trunk and face)
Athritis/ arhralgia (polyathralgia, transient and migratory)
Kidney disease
Abdominal pain
Skin biopsy—> leukocytoplastic vasculitis

Therapy
A
Pusled methylprednisolone
Followed by 3month prednisolone
