Health promotion model
The desire to improve the level of well-being and achieve the full potential of one’s human health motivates the behavior in the health promotion model
Role performance model
health is the ability to fulfill societal roles
Adapting model
health is a complex adaptive system; it is a flexible adaptation to the environment as a whole
Health Belief Model
Helps to understand patient’s perceptions, beliefs and behavior and plan of care that will aid patient on maintaining health and preventing illness
What is the aim of treatment of the adapting model?
To restore the ability of the person to adapt, that is to cope
Agent, host and environment model
used in predicting the occurrence of illnesses, rather than promoting health

his model explains the basic needs of patients and families, their behaviors, and their readiness to take part in health activities
