A physical and emotional response to a significant or unexpected change or disruption in one’s life.
Stress
It refers to the things that caused an individual to be stressed
Stressors
Pertains to a healthy and positive response of the body from a stressor. It makes a good impact on a person well being.
Eustress
Relates to a negative reaction of the body to a given stressor. It can cause health problems, impair mood and emotion and even affect a person’s way of thinking.
Distress
A feeling of fear, worry, or unease. This could be a reaction to stress, or it can happen to anyone who is unable to identify particular stressors in their life.
Anxiety
The first stage of stress. A stage when a person feels to do the things that he/she does not usually do.
Alarm stage
The second stage of stress. A stage when the body has already responded to the
stressor.
Resistance stage
A stage when a person slowly loses
energy to manage stress. This is also
known as the “gate toward burnout or
stress overload.” The third stage.
