What is a TOPOGRAPHICAL map
It’s a type of map that represents the surface features of an area in detail, using contour lines to show elevation and terrain.
What are Eastings
They are the HORIZONTAL grid lines on a topographic map.
What are Northings
They are the VERTICAL lines on a topographic map
What’s the rule with Eastings and Northings
It’s Eastings, then Northings when writing the location of a landmark
Which way do Latitude lines run
HORIZONTALLY

What is RELIEF
relief refers to the overall shape of the land, encompassing factors like its elevation above sea level and how steep its slopes are
What are contour lines
Contour lines show the height of a mountain above sea level
What are spot heights
they are usually shown on a map by a black dot with the exact height of the land at that point.
