How should thrust be set on the LEAP engines when Tailwind or Crosswind is more than 20 kts?
Increase thrust rapidly to about 70% N1, then above 15 kts ground speed, progressively increase thrust to reach takeoff thrust by 40 kts ground speed
What should the PM monitor below 80 kts?
- N1/EPR has reached the rating limit
- EGT
Above what altitude can the autopilot be turned on?
Above 100 ft AGL
After how long of a expected delay do we have to give a PA to inform the passengers about it?
10 min delay
If situation persists, an update shall be given at intervals not exceeding 30 min
When can you request the “After Start Checklist”?
After the TUG, bypass pin and hand signals are seen
Can we set the park brake when lined up on the runway?
No, not allowed
What does the PF say when lining up on the runway to confirm the runway?
J2 RWY 07R
When doing the “Line Up” checklist what does the PF/PM say when answering “T/O RWY”?
RWY 07R J2
What is NADP 1?
800 ft AAL Thrust Red / 3000 ft AAL Acceleration
What is NADP 2?
800 ft AAL Thrust Red / 800 ft AAL Acceleration

If cleared for high speed below 10000 ft, what small thing can be done to minimize drag?
Retract the landing lights
When in the start sequence do we call “Clear to Disconnect” to the ground staff?
After the start flow but before After Start CKL
If Flaps 3 is used for take-off, how do you do flap retraction?
Stright from Flaps 3 to nr 1
Don’t do Flaps 2
How do you know that you are tracking the centerline of a taxiway?
Keep the centerline between the PFD and ND
Why should we avoid stopping in a turn?
Excessive power might be needed to start moving again which can cause jet blast or FOD damage
What happens if both pilots acts on the tiller or pedals at the same time?
Their inputs are added up until the maximum value
When should PACK 1 be turned ON after take-off?
After CLB thrust reduction
What can happen if you turn ON the PACKS before having done the thrust CLB reduction?
Can result in an EGT increase
What can happen if PACK:s are selected to ON before thrust reduction altitude?
Can cause a EGT increase
What is the danger with too much lateral inputs on takeoff especially in crosswind conditions?
It causes spoiler extension which increases the tendency to turn into the wind. It also decreases lift and increases drag

Pitch: From 5 sec after pitch is 8 deg
Roll: From 2 sec after pitch is 8 deg
How do you use the ARS system for flap retraction?
In CONF 1+F ARS activates at 210 kts and it automatically retracts the flaps to 0 but keeps the Slats in pos 1
As the aircraft accelerates above S speed, the flap lever can be selected to 0 and the slats retracts
What is the difference between NADP 1 and NADP 2?
NADP 1 is 800/3000 and used for close in noise abatement
NADP 2 is 800/800 and is used for distant noise abatement
Describe what a FLEX take off is?
As OAT increases above the flat rated temp the thrust output decreases
If the weight is less than what full thrust can allow we want to decrease the thrust output to save the engine.
The way to tell the FADEC what thrust to use is to input a FLEX temp by finding the spot that balances temperature and actual weight
Does FLEX decrease fuel burn for a takeoff?
No, takeoff takes longer so it actually burns more fuel, but the savings on engine maintenance is larger
What flap setting should be used to extend engine life?
The setting that gives the highest FLEX temp as that corresponds to less thrust
When is a higher Flap setting more advantageous?
For short runways as it shortens the takeoff distance and it also increases runway limited weight, but it decreases 2nd segment limit takeoff weight
