Nomative
Nominative case identifies the subject. Nouns in dictionaries are in nominative form.This case functions similarly to that in English.
Just get the noun’s gender correct and you’re good.
Genitive case
1) shows possession
To negate the direct object of a verb. For example, in “nie lubiępsów” (I don’t likedogs), “psów” is the genitive form of “dogs”, rather than the accusative

1) Nominative (“Possession”)

Perfect vs imperfect tense
Perfect = something that happened in the past and was completed or “perfected” (closed)
E.g. “He gave this to us”
Imperfect - a past action that isn’t complete (not yet perfected) (open)
“He was giving this to us”
