What are omenta?
Double folds which pass from the stomach and duodenum to other organs or the body wall
What is meant by mesentary?
Double layer of peritoneum
What is meant by retroperitoneal?
Organs which are tightly adhered to the posterior abdominal wall and therefore, immobile
What is meant by intraperitoneal?
Organs which are within or into the peritoneum and are mobile
What is meant by ligament (relating to the abdomen, not the usual type of ligament)?
Double folded peritoneum which spans between organs or organs and the body wall.
What is in the peritoneal cavity?
Small amount of peritoneal fluid
Where would you find the lesser omentum?
Liver to lesser curvature of stomach
Where would you find the greater omentum?
Greater curvature of stomach to transverse colon
