Vehicle
Device suitable for circulating along common use public or private common use roads and land.
Motor vehicle
Vehicle equipped with an engine for propulsion thereof.
Excluding: mopeds, trams and vehicles for people with reduced mobility, cycles with pedal assistance and Personal Light Electric Vehicles.
Driver
The person manipulating the vehicle or leading the animal.
Who is the driver during the driving lesson?
During driving clases, the driving teacher
Are you responsible for passengers?
Yes, you must make sure passengers are adequately seated in the vehicle
Pedestrian
Someone on foot or is in a wheelchair, motorised or otherwise.
Policy holder
The person who takes out Civil Liability of the vehicle Insurance with the insurance company
Empty Tare or Gross Weight
Gross weight of the empty vehicle, with fuel, spare tiers and accessories
Loaded Gross Weight
Is the Gross weight of the vehicle at the moment, including the driver, passengers and load.
Maximum Authorized Mass (MAM)
Is the maximum Gross loaded weight when driving.
Highways
A highway is any road or pathway, public or private, which is intended for use by an undetermined group of user
In towns
A built up area, with signs marking the towns limits
Urban road
A public highway inside a town, except through roads
Through road
Part of a road that passes through a town (except the bypass sections they have access to).
The road rules applied are the same ones that apply inside town.
Out of towns
Interurban road
A public highway situated outside a town
