Deciduous or broadleaf
What are the defining qualities of a shrub?
A perennial plant with several woody stems at ground level.
What are the defining qualities of a tree?
A perennial plant with only one woody stem.
What are the defining quality of a conifer?
It is a perennial plant that bears cones. They are nearly all evergreen except for the Larch tree, swamp Cyprus, dawn redwood and maidenhair tree (ginkgo)

A climber is a perennial plant which has the ability to attach itself to or twine around an upright structure.
