What is a zero error?
When there is no measurement, the equipment will not be at zero. To deal with it, correct the error, and make sure to check each time.
What is a random error?
Error due to Unknown cause, unpredictable. Nothing can be done to avoid them, so remove them as anomalous results.
What is a parallax error?
An error caused by change in measurement due to change in viewer’s position. To deal with it, make sure you read the measurements from eye level.
What to check for a graph…
Scale, axis, plotted, points, line of best fit
What is a systematic error?
An error that occurs consistently and by the same amount. To deal with it, repeat the data using different equipment or a different technique.
What are the criteria for an excellent practical account?
Equipment, Measurements, Calculations, Range, Reliability, Graph, Looking for, Safety
