- Unabe to weight bear for 4 steps
- tenderness over

What are the common causes of tarsal fractures and what bones do they usually affect?
Traumatic- often calcaneus
STress- often navicular
What is the presentation of a tarsal fracture?
Pain, swelling
What is the presentation of a navicular stress fracture?
More gradual onset pain
Poorly localised pain in mid foot
Worse with exercise, relived by rest
What is the management of a traumatic tarsal fracture?
Cast for ~6 weeks
CAlcaneus= usually surgery
What is the management of a stress tarsal fracture?
Moon boot/crutches
What is the most common metatarsal fracture?
5th metatarsal
What are the causes of metatarsal fracture?
Trauma
Stress
What is the presentation of metatarsal fracture?
Pinpoint pain
Swelling
Brusising
What is the management of metatarsal fracture?
Moonboot/crutches
