Releases egg/ova, 400,000 follicles at birth but about 400 will mature and be released as an egg

Ova is released into fimbriae that extend from tube, site of ova is carried into uterus, site of fertilization

Hollow, muscular structure that receives and nourishes an egg, 3 layers; endometrium (mucosal layer that nourishes egg or slough off during menstration), myometrium (muscular layer, contracts during labor), Perimetrium (outer wall)

Thin walled tube, path for penis/intercourse (semen) or baby, extends from cervix to outside
