Function of glaucoma medications
Reduce intraocular pressure by constricting the pupil and contracting the ciliary muscle thereby increasing blood flow to the retina and decreasing retinal damage and loss of vision.
Function of mitotics
Cause pupillary constriction and decrease ocular pressure by increasing blood flow to the retina.
Function of mydriatic and cycloplegia meds
Dilate the pupil and increase ocular pressure. Are contraindicated for glaucoma patients.
What is used to treat Pilocarpine hydrochloride toxicity?
Atropine sulfate
Atropine sulfate is what kind of a medication?
Mydriatic and cyclopedic. Contraindicated for glaucoma patients.
