An elected representative in the Senate
What is a governor?
Someone that represents the crown at a state level
What is a minister and prime minister?
Prime minister is the leader of the country while ministers are responsible for certain areas of government; minister for education
What is a petition?
A formal request for parliament to take action

Executive function, Legislative function and Judicial function
What are the three functions?
Executive- Administering the rules developed to benefit the whole community
Legislative- Making the rules
Judicial- Judging if the rules have been broken and consequences
What is Criminal and Civil law?
Criminal- concerned with cases where a person has committed an offence against the community
Civil- a dispute between two private individuals
