During the roaring 20’s the red scare was going on. The F.B.I. was created. There was more money than what was needed.Most families had a car. People used a lot of electrical appliances. Skyscrapers were built. There was a can-do attitude. Women entered the workforce in large numbers. Women were allowed to vote. Women ( flappers) began to wear makeup, would smoke and drink. Golden age of movies. Farmers were getting poorer and poorer. They would rent a farm instead of owning it. There was very high crime. Alcohol Prohibition. There was disillusionment.(with writers, artists, musicians)
