Naturally occurring catecholamine.
It is a potent alpha and beta adrenergic stimulant;
however, its effect on beta-receptors is more profound

Severe Anaphylaxis
Stridor
Symptomatic Bradycardia
Cardiogenic Shock
Epinephrine 1:1,000 Contraindications
None known
Epinephrine 1:1,000 Dosages
Adult:0.5mg (500mcg) (1:1,000) IM
Repeat every 3-5 mins if indicated
Adult: Symptomatic Bradycardia / Cardiogenic Shock
0.01mg IV/IO Repeat PRN
Paed: >8yrs - 0.5mg (500mcg) (.5ml)repeat every 3-5 mins if indicated
6 - 8 yrs - 0.25mg (250mcg) (.25ml)repeat every 3-5 mins if indicated
6 mths - 5 yrs - 0.125mg (125mcg) (.13ml)repeat every 3-5 mins if indicated
< 6 mths - 0.05mg (50mcg) (.05ml)repeat every 3-5 mins if indicated
Paed Stridor:
<1 year 2.5mg Neb
≥ 1 year 5mg Neb
(Rpt x1 @30 mins if required)

Alpha and beta adrenergic stimulant.
Reversal of laryngeal oedema and bronchospasm in anaphylaxis.
Antagonises effects of histamine
