enzymes are biological catalysts which speed up chemical reactions and don’t get used up
what are enzymes made of?
proteins which means there building blocks are amino acids
why is the shape of an enzyme important?
tho different shapes can speed up different things

part of an enzyme which one or more substrate molecules can attach
why are enzymes specific?
because they are all differently shaped

speed up the breakdown of complex molecules to simpler molecules
what is a synthesis reaction?
the joining together of two substrates which form a product
what does denatured mean?
the changing of the shape and the effect of the reaction
